A graduate of Dickinson College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Smith completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, she completed a pediatric residency and a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Jefferson Medical College/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. For the past seven years, Dr. Smith has worked as a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Nemours Children’s Health (formerly A.I. duPont Hospital for Children).

As a recipient of multiple academic awards and a former NCAA swimmer, Dr. Smith strives to help educate and promote healthy lifestyles for her patients. Her clinical interests also include care of the newborn, promoting child advocacy, childhood development, and management of the acutely ill patient.

Dr. Smith resides in Mt. Laurel, NJ where she loves spending time with her husband, three children and dog. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, baking and decorating cakes, traveling to the beach, and gardening.
