Meet Our Providers

Allison Stec, MSN, APN, CPNP-PC

Mrs. Stec is a graduate of The College of New Jersey where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. As a registered nurse, she accrued a combined 10 years of experience both in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Cooper University Hospital and in the Special Care Nursery at Virtua Memorial Hospital. While working as a registered nurse, she completed her Master of Science degree in Nursing at Drexel University. As a student, she gained a wealth of clinical experience spending time at Advocare Marlton Pediatrics and Virtua Hospital’s Pediatric Emergency Room. As a pediatric nurse practitioner, Mrs. Stec has worked for the last several years in the specialty of pediatric gastroenterology at a local university hospital. She is proficient in the evaluation and management of patients with abdominal pain, chronic constipation, recurrent vomiting and diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux, Celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, milk protein intolerance, and weight loss. She looks forward to bringing her skillset to Advocare Marlton Pediatrics. Mrs. Stec resides in Medford, NJ with her husband, three children, and golden retriever puppy, and in her spare time enjoys physical fitness, preparing nutritious food, and going to the beach.

Howard N. Orel, MD, FAAP

Howard Orel, M.D. joined Advocare Marlton Pediatrics in 1989. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees from The College of Arts and Sciences, the Wharton School of Business, and the School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1989. A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Orel has consistently been honored as a "Top Physician" by multiple publications. He was also named by NJBIZ magazine to the Health Care Power 50, as one of the 50 most powerful people in New Jersey healthcare.

Jeffrey D. Blackman, MD, FAAP

Dr. Blackman received his certification from the American Board of Pediatrics in 1992 and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He graduated from Dickinson College summa cum laude in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, and in 1989 received his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine. After completing his pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Dr. Blackman joined Advocare Marlton Pediatrics in 1992.

Howard S. Waxman, MD, FAAP

Dr. Waxman is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He graduated from Rutgers University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and in 1981, he received his medical degree from The Medical College of Pennsylvania. Following completion of his pediatric residency training at the University of Maryland in 1984, he worked at a pediatric practice for twelve years before joining Advocare Marlton Pediatrics in 1996.

Jill K. Stavalone, DO

Dr. Stavalone graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995 after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Gannon University. She completed her Pediatric residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 1999, including a year as Chief Pediatric Resident, earning the Resident Student Teaching Award.

Nadine Smith, DO

A graduate of Dickinson College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Smith completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, she completed a pediatric residency and a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Jefferson Medical College/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. For the past seven years, Dr. Smith has worked as a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Nemours Children’s Health (formerly A.I. duPont Hospital for Children).

Tania Stende, MSN, NP, C

Ms. Stende graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing in January 2000, and she is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She joined Advocare Marlton Pediatrics in 2012 and has formed lasting relationships with her patients and colleagues. Prior to joining Advocare Marlton Pediatrics, she worked in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Virtua West Jersey Hospital.

Lauren Parks, MSN, APN, CPNP-PC

Mrs. Parks, a certified pediatric nurse practitioner, received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in nursing from Villanova University where she graduated with honors. Following her time at Villanova, Mrs. Parks worked as a clinical nurse and preceptor in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. While there, she served in a leadership role as the chairperson of the PICU education committee. The recipient of many honors, Mrs. Parks is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Jennifer Kover, MSN, APN, FMNP

Mrs. Kover, a certified family medicine nurse practitioner, received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nursing and a Master’s of Business Administration from Drexel University where she graduated with honors. Her emphasis as a nurse practitioner student was in primary care of the family. Her special primary care interests include adolescent medicine, behavioral and mental health, allergy, and asthma.

Athena Maria Yudin, MSN, APN, CPNP-PC

Mrs. Yudin, a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner, received her bachelor's degree from University of Pittsburgh and her master's degree from Drexel University. Following her time at University of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Yudin worked for 8 years in the Pediatric Emergency Department at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Lindsay DeCicco, LCSW

Mrs. Lindsay DeCicco is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey. She received her Bachelor’s at Towson University in Towson, Maryland where she majored in Psychology. She completed her graduate studies in Social Work at Rutgers University, where she was inducted into the Phi Alpha Honor Society for Social Work
